Articles

I never thought I'd be a journalist.

I took the job with the Daily Nebraskan initially for some pocket change. Then it became a bit of a lifesaver. Here was a reason to write even 800 words every week about something--anything--that wasn't schoolwork. The limited word count forced me to focus, and my writing voice matured from overly-descriptive ramblings to points that actually matter. I owe this newspaper a lot just for that.

After nearly fifty articles written for Opinion, there of course were some that I never really want to look at again. But for a few others, it seems wrong to just leave them in my undergraduate career.

My Thoughts On:

-the Death Penalty.
-the proper focus of a university.
-staying true to your own writing.
-asking for help in college.
-exclusivity in marriage.
-defining truth.

And, my goodbye to the Daily Nebraskan.
